The End

Yes, this is the end of the butternut squash. I made my roasted butternut soup last night with my last two.

Made fresh soft pretzels to go with them.

This also may be my last post to this blog until I am back from my hike.

  1. Yum! Recipes please! Looking forward to your hiking blogs.

  2. Oh no, I’m going to miss your chicken posts. Isn’t your wife going to substitute – at least if something major happens like hawks, foxes or snakes in the hen house or balderized chickens thanks to Jack the rascal?

Now I will await the updates from the trail. Have fun. My husband said to tell you if you go again in 2 years, he’s up for it but he thought going right after getting back from his own long trek was a bit too soon (and he saw the glare in my eye which made it clear it definitely was toooooooo soon).

    • Lil has the passwords to the blog but she might be a little busy.
I don’t know how this will go or what the future holds. I do know that getting permission from “she who must be obeyed” to do this again might be tough.

      • My hope has always been and remains (in the face of opposing proof) that my “he who must obey” will grow out of the desire to do such strange things. Remind me again when it is that men grow up?

      • Laura, we grow older BUT we don’t grow up.
